  • What does it cost to rent your venue?
    We offer a flat site fee starting at $6,500 for exclusive use of the property and host only one event each weekend. Please download our WEDDING BROCHURE for a full description of included items and rehearsal dinner add-ons. Please note, new pricing for 2025 events goes into effect October 1, 2023.
  • What is the payment schedule?
    There is an initial, non-refundable payment. A second payment, due sixty (60) days prior to your event, consists of your balance and refundable security deposit.
  • Do you host elopements?
    Of course. Please CONTACT US for availability; pricing begins at $500/hour with a three (3) hour minimum.
  • When can we arrive? What time does our event end?
    Friday (before 5:00pm): a two-hour ceremomy rehearsal with your wedding party Saturday (10:00am - 10:00pm): exclusive use of the farm for your event Sunday (9:00am - noon): access for retrieving any remaining personal items Please note, rental times are regulated by the local township and are not negotiable.
  • Do you have restrooms?
    Yes. Cherry Basket Farm has public restrooms including a gender-neutral option. Vendors and event staff have access to a separate restroom facility.
  • Do you have parking?
    Yes. We can accommodate 70 guest cars and 10 vendor vehicles in our nearby field parking area. Although parking is available, we highly encourage shuttles for both safety and elevated hospitality.
  • What is your maximum capacity?
    We are an ideal venue for weddings from 50 to 150 guests. Guest counts above 100 will need to tent the Main Lawn or another area for dinner. Guests counts above 150 require approval and may incur additional fees. For weddings under 50 guests, we offer discounted pricing. PLEASE INQUIRE.
  • Do you require a wedding planner?
    Yes. The need for full or partial coordination will depend on the size and complexity of your event. We are able to provide recommendations for a wide range of Creative Partners.
  • What else do we need to provide?
    Our WEDDING BROCHURE includes a list of provided amenities and services. In addition, you will need to provide: event liability insurance (easily attainable at a low cost); licensed caterer with bartending service or separate, licensed, insured bartending service; music/entertainment; sound system; photographer/videographer; officiant; floral; linens, tabletop and decor.
  • Are tents included in your pricing?
    No, and here's why: tents are a major design element. Rather than restrict your choices, we can direct you to the area’s top vendors able to provide a wide variety of tenting options and sizes so that your vision is customized. Tents are not included in site rental pricing.
  • What caterers do you use? What about alcohol service?
    We work with a wide variety of caterers and can guide you to recommended vendors. All caterers require pre-approval and must be licensed in Michigan. Alcohol must be served by a licensed caterer with bartending service or by a separate, licensed insured bartending service.
  • What decorations are allowed?
    Absolutely. We welcome decorations, flowers, draping and lighting to express your creativity. We do not allow anything that will be permanent or will damage the walls or buildings. Open flame is not permitted in any buildings.
  • What is the rain plan?
    The Upper Barn serves as an excellent ceremony site during inclement weather, especially when paired with a tented dinner that enables the barn to be reset for the reception.
  • Are pets permitted?
    Yes, with conditions. All pets require pre-approval before being permitted on the farm and arrangements must be made to always ensure your pet’s safety and wellbeing.
  • Are we able to livestream our wedding?
    Yes. We have strong Internet service at the farm with upload speeds generally over 30 Mbps. We provide one tripod and highly recommend investing in a professional livestreaming service that can produce your event remotely.
  • What if my event date changes?
    If you want to change the date of your event, we will be happy to discuss an alternate date (based on availability). If we are unable to mutually agree on an alternate date, all fees and deposits will be returned to you other than the initial payment.
